Impressions of Mecklenberg Tour

Hello René,

We were pleased to have you as our personal guide to trace the places in Mecklenburg of Bill's ancestry. You were efficient, informative and good company. We appreciated the pre-trip research that allowed our access to the churches in Dargun, Schorrentin, Crivitz, and Pinnow. It was interesting to meet the pastors of the churches as well as the man who had researched Bill's family. These were wonderful churches both inside and out that have survived since as early as as the year 1100. It was amazing to stand where Bill's grandfather spent the early part of his life.

We also enjoyed the mix of more traditional sightseeing. One highlight was the Schwerin Castle. What a magnificent place to visit. We also enjoyed the Ludwigslust Palace with its beautiful gardens. Our photos are beautiful of the reflections of the trees in the ponds.

Our lunch stops were fun and gave us some local color. The beer glass we bought arrived home safely and is prominently displayed to remind Bill of his Darguner Pilsener.

The castle-hotels you choose were lovely. They had the ambience of old and the comforts of a modern hotel. The pre-arranged dinners you planned were delicious and the extra attention to celebrate Bill's birthday was perfect.

This was a well planned trip done according to our requests. We found it successful in all ways.

Best Regards,

Beth and Bill
